Getting to the Airport › › ›
By car
Whether you are arriving with your own car, a taxi or with a shuttle service for people with reduced mobility, the options for stopping are always directly in front of the entrance and exit doors of the Terminals. A low curbside makes it easier for wheelchairs to enter and exit the vehicle. With the parking aid or mobility reduced ID visibly displayed in the vehicle (in Germany: “G” or “aG”), you can park in front of the terminals for getting in and out or for loading and unloading.
Subject-to-a-charge mobility reduced parking spaces are marked accordingly in all parking garages. These are always located directly beside the exits or elevators, thereby ensuring fast and barrier-free access into the building. The entry height of the car park buildings is 2 - 2.10 m. For higher vehicles please use the outside car park P10 and have yourself picked up by the wheelchair service if required. Inform the Airport Service about your plans in good time to ensure you are picked up quickly. As soon as you drive your vehicle into one of the car park buildings or the outside car parks, if you require any assistance please inform the Parking Service about your plans by using the call button at the entry barrier. The Parking Service will inform the Airport Service employees, who will come and pick you up. Please display your mobility reduced ID for the vehicle clearly visible inside the vehicle.
Please present your mobility reduced ID at the Parking Service on the arrivals level between Terminals A and B to qualify for the reduced parking rate. You can then park free of charge for the first 24 hours.
You will find further information on parking at Hannover Airport on the pages of the Parking Service.
