If you are being accompanied or do not require any further assistance, please go to your airline’s check-in desk in good time, check in your baggage and proceed to the waiting room for your flight. If you are using your own wheelchair, this will be given a baggage tag by the check-in staff. The wheelchair will, however, remain with you until you board. You can then pass through the security checks with your wheelchair. The Wheelchair Service Team will pick you up 30 minutes before departure in the waiting room and bring you and your companion to the flight door or your seat.
If you would prefer to be picked up in the public area in front of the security checks so that a member of staff can accompany you from here on, please go to one of the Pick-up Points, which are located in every terminal on every level. The check-in staff will tell you where the next Pick-up Point is, and how to get there. Our staff will then pick you up 30 minutes before departure at the Pick-up Point and accompany you to the waiting room or directly on to the aircraft.
You also have the option of going to a Pick-up Point after arriving at Hannover Airport and requesting a member of the Airport Service staff directly. To do this, however, you should arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight and inform Airport Service accordingly.
The Airport Service employee will then pick you up at the Pick-up Point, check in with you and escort you and your companion to the waiting room or directly on to the aircraft.
Should you want to give in your wheelchair before entering the security area or only require a wheelchair for the section going into the aircraft, you will be picked up by a member of our airport Service staff with a Hannover Airport wheelchair.
