Hannover Airport actively supports passengers with reduced mobility as required with the aid of its Airport Service staff. This support can only be guaranteed if the passenger arrives at the check-in desk at least one hour before their scheduled flight, or at a defined pick-up point at least two hours before their scheduled flight. You will find the pick-up points and the times that apply here.
Passengers with reduced mobility are accompanied on board with preference before all other passengers and at arrivals are the first to be picked up. Exceptions can however arise if the PRM is only checked in shortly before the flight, if the airline explicitly requests this, and if this is required by aircraft handling procedures.
Passengers with a wheelchair can use it at departures and arrivals to/from the aircraft door. The airline is responsible for loading the wheelchair.
Electric wheelchairs should be prepared early so that they can be loaded in good time and properly by the airline.
Please see the "What to be aware of“section in this respect.
Hannover Airport will not decline any request for assistance, provided the scope of the assistance is limited to the Hannover Airport grounds and is deemed reasonable and performable by the Airport Service staff.
The Wheelchair Service begins and ends at the defined pick-up and drop-off points on the Hannover Airport grounds. You can also request the necessary assistance from here with a handsfree system.
Flughafen Hannover Langenhagen GmbH is responsible for the service of people with reduced mobility, and the company provides the service with its own employees and commissioned service providers.
Hannover Airport has introduced a control system and can report on passenger procedures at all times.
