North runway:

Precision runway according to ICAO Category IIIb with instrument landing system (ILS) -> enables landing with a horizontal view of only 50 m and overlying cloud cover. High power approach lighting (flare-path) with flash lighting; runway lighting with threshold, center, border and end lighting; approach slope indicator system (PAPI).
South runway:
09R/27L, 2,340 m x 45 m, concrete; both sides
Precision runway in accordance with ICAO Category I with ILS. Both landing directions with approach lighting (flare-path) with flash lighting; runway lighting with threshold, center, border and end lighting; approach slope indicator system (PAPI).
Short runway:
09C/27C, 780 m x 22,5 m, asphalt, for aircraft up to 5.7 t start weight; visual approach runway.

Three compact buildings A, B, C in the form of a triangular layout on approx. 75,000 m².
Horizontal separation into arrivals and departures levels with own accesses. Connector buildings between A and B and B and C with the loading strip. Handling: Decentralized in halls A and B, central in hall C. 88 check-in desks, 20 boarding gates, 3 departure-bus gates. Capacity: Up to 8 million passengers a year. Underground S-Bahnhof (train station) in Terminal C.
Air cargo facilities
Air cargo center with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of air cargo. Facilities and equipment for handling and loading special cargo. Air cargo transport. Automated air cargo management system.

Transport connections
Hannover Airport has a direct link to the A352 (Hannover Airport exit) and therefore to the A2 (Berlin - Dortmund) and A7 (Hamburg - Kassel). The S 5 Hannover Airport train line also runs directly from Terminal C to Hannover Central Station (takes approx. 17 minutes). Special S-Bahn trains are put on for trade fair periods. The 470 bus runs directly from the Langenhagen Zentrum station to Hannover Airport. There are also a number of Airport shuttle services, which will bring you from wherever you are to the Airport.
Parking spaces
Approx. 14,000 spaces are provided: 4,285 in car park buildings P1, P2 and P3 close to the terminals; 3,750 spaces in the East car park buildings, 1, 2 and 3; and 1,450 spaces in the North car park building. On top of this there are another 2,900 spaces on the P10 outside car park (open: 1 April to 31 October) and 480 short-term spaces. A computer-controlled parking guidance system helps with orientation.
