As an important economic factor, Hannover Airport is one of the most dynamic stimulus motors for the Hannover region. As the second biggest source of employment in Niedersachsen, around 8,800 people have direct work at the Airport, and across the country 30,000 jobs depend directly on the Airport's financial success.
