Getting to the airport is really simple. The way to the airport is clearly signposted in Hanover and on the highways. The exact address of the terminal buildings is Flughafenstraße 3, 20855 Langenhagen. You can park here from €46,50 a week (online reservation). If you would like to use public transport to get to the airport, take metro S5 (S-Bahn), which will take you from Hanover main station to the airport's Terminal C within 17 minutes. The P1 through P3 parking garages, located near the terminals, are available year-round. From there, it’s just a short walk to the terminals. The P4 through P7 parking garages are ideal for long-term and vacation travelers. From there, too, you can reach the terminals in just a few minutes on foot. The P10 outdoor parking lot is not open year-round. You can find current opening hours under Parking | Information & Overview - Hannover Airport. A free shuttle service connects P10 with Terminal C. For checking in, please go straight to your airline's check-in desk. Your booking documents (booking confirmation) contain more information on that. At the check-in desk, you will receive your boarding passes, seat numbers and you have to drop off your luggage.
As an alternative, you can also check in online at home or on the go.

Each airline has its own regulations on the size and weight of carry-on luggage. Please check these with your airline before arriving at the airport. The most important regulations can be found here:
Each item which is too large for the baggage handling system is considered bulky baggage including bicycles, surf boards, golf equipment and animals in transport boxes. You can find special bulky baggage check-in desks in each terminal building. The exact location can be obtained from the standard check-in desks.
Unfortunately, luggage storage is not currently available.
If the gate is not written on your boarding pass, information monitors within the terminal buildings as well as this homepage will provide information.
There is a range of restaurants, beverages and snacks in the waiting areas of the airside terminals.
If your flight is delayed, you might be entitled to compensation on certain conditions. Please refer to your airline in this case.

You can find information and help at the Airport Service Center round the clock. The Airport Service Center can be found on the Arrivals level, Terminal B. There you can also find Lost & Found and the Parking Service.
A branch of Volksbank with an ATM featuring a 24h self-service area can be found on the Airport Plaza between Terminal A and B.

Please check if your travel documents (ID) are valid and if you require a visa before you arrive. The federal police force at the airport will help you in case of doubt. The office can be found on the Departures level in Terminal B. The office of the Federal Police can be found on the Departures level in Terminal B. A police station is located in the passageway between Terminal B and C.

If you want to carry liquids in your carry-on bag, you will be required to place them into a see-through plastic bag. You can purchase such a plastic bag for €1 (pack of two bags) in front of the security checks on the Departures level in Terminal A, B and C.
The prayer room - a place of silence, devotion and prayers - can be found on Arrivals level between Terminal A and B. The room is open 24/7 for people of every religious affiliation. A special prayer room for Muslims can be found on the Arrivals level between Terminal B and C.

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the terminal buildings. When you are still in the landside terminal area, you can smoke outside. Please use the marked smoking areas in front of the terminal buildings. Within the airside terminal, you can find smoking cabins.
